Sabah’s daughter grabs limelight at Beirut fest

BEIRUT: Arab and foreign stars made their way to the glamorous Beirut International Awards Festival (BIAF) on Friday evening, where they were honored for their glittering work in their fields.
Late iconic Lebanese singer Sabah’s daughter Huwaida turned heads at the event. Everyone was surprised to see Huwaida, as this was her first appearance since her mother’s death. What made her presence more questionable was the fact that she didn’t attend Sabah’s funeral or publicly mourn her passing. Stars included political, social, entertainment and cultural figures from the Arab world and abroad.
One of the significant faces awarded at the event was Lebanese superstar Haifa Wehbe’s ex-husband Egyptian businessman Ahmed Abou Hashima.
