Bonus will boost the morale of war heroes

RIYADH: National Guard Minister Prince Miteb bin Abdullah has expressed his thanks and deep appreciation to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for announcing bonus for Saudi military and security personnel involved in Yemen operations.
The king ordered a month’s extra pay as bonus for the defense personnel involved in Operation Decisive Storm and Operation Restoring Hope soon after returning to Jeddah from Morocco on Sunday.
King Salman’s gesture received wide appreciation from all sections of society, especially defense officers and military commanders.
Awad bin Eid Al-Balawi, director general of Border Guard, said: “The king’s order indicates his keenness on military personnel in recognition of their sacrifices for the defense of our dear homeland and its holy sites.”
Maj. Gen. Fares bin Abdullah Al-Omari, commander of Taif Military Area, said the order highlights the king’s keenness on bolstering the morale of the military personnel for their sacrifices and heroism in defending the holy places and dear homeland.
Najran Force Commander Air Vice Marshall Saad bin Mohammed Alian Al-Shahrani and Assistant Commander of Sharourah Force Maj. Gen. Ahmed Salie’ Al-Derby also expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
“The order will have a major impact on raising the morale of the participants in the two Yemen operations, which came to restore the rights to their owners and protect the security and stability of our dear homeland,” they said.
Col. Ali Hazaa, from the Border Guard, said the move is not surprising, coming from the leaders of the nation who always are accustomed to generosity and giving.
“We thank the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his parental gesture.”
Lt. Col. Saad bin Saeed Al-Shahrani, reconnaissance commander at Al-Harth sector, said this generosity only shows the interest and care of the leader for their sons, adding: “We in turn will sacrifice ourselves for the country and elevate the word of God.”
First Lt. Othman Husain Al-Ouraini said everybody is grateful for this gesture, which came from the leader who taught everyone the principles of how to defend the country and land, and help distressed people.
Nasser Al-Otaibi, Shoura Council member and chairman of the Committee on Transport, Communications and Information Technology, said the royal order is a “historical day.”
