RIYADH: The Ministry of Health (MoH) has revealed that 91.1 percent of pharmacists and 60.1 percent nurses are Saudis while 93 percent of nationals are employed in other medical fields.
A total of 81 Saudis were appointed as dentists and 215 as pharmacists, while 613 were appointed in other fields, Hamad Al-Dowaila, deputy health minister for health affairs, said.
Speaking during a meeting in Riyadh on Thursday, he said all-out efforts were being made to increasing the number of qualified Saudis in the medical sector.
The executive committee of the Nationalization and Social Development Program in Al-Qasim is studying a number of sectors and fields that could be nationalized and which will contribute to increasing job opportunities for young people in the province.
