Arar model court aims to shorten litigation process

RIYADH: Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammad Al-Yousuf, chairman of the grievances board and president of the administrative council of the judiciary, issued an order to implement the experimental model court in all circles of the administrative court in Arar. This implementation is keeping in view the vision of the grievances board and cases will be filed electronically in all its courts, implementing Article 1/11 of the rules of procedural law in the administrative courts of Arar.
He also asked to continue implementation of it in Makkah and second administrative circle in Buraidah.
He earlier issued an order on starting the experimental model ahead of its implementation it in all courts. The experiment was studied and evaluated by a team of experts. This proved helpful in reducing the period of litigation. Now he has ordered implementation of the same experiment in all administrative courts of Arar. This experiment will be carried out for sixty days before the outcome report is to be presented to the president of the court.
Al-Yousuf has made it clear that this order was aimed at evaluating the performance of the court by reducing the period of litigation and its processes. It is also meant supporting the efforts of judges in studying cases, quality in judgments and approaches in distribution of roles and duties in judicial circles. For this purpose, available human resources will be utilized in a suitable manner.
The order has also focused on evaluation of the period of implementation of the litigation electrically by exchanging notes electronically under a secured mechanism.
The decision has come in light of the royal order number M/3 dated 22/1/1437H and the decision of the judicial administrative council’s section 2, dated 19/2/1437H.
The grievance board recently worked on intensification of dependence on electronic means for judicial and administrative work which would serve the people and those who work in the courts through internal and external gateways.
