DAMMAM: A recent statistical report has revealed the deaths of 45,683 Saudi citizens during the past year.
The number of male deaths reached 28,802 or 63 percent of the total, compared with 16,881 deaths among females, or 37 percent of the total. According to the report, road accidents are the main causes of death in the Kingdom, with 21 deaths recorded per day, in addition to the factors of aging, and chronic diseases.
Saudi deaths last year reached 45,683 deaths, where recorded males reached 28,802 at 63 percent of the total, compared with16,881 female deaths at 37 percent of the total.
Statistical reports of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs note that the number of burials performed with the knowledge of the municipality last year was 1,436. Furthermore, 11,864 of the total deaths were children aged below one year, while the number of deaths of people aged 15 to 45 years reached 7,003.
The report indicated that the Riyadh region was ranked first in the number of deaths with 11,975 cases, including 7,716 males and 4,259 females, while Baha recorded the lowest number of deaths with a total of 223 cases, including 166 males and 57 females.
