JEDDAH: A man wanted for the killing of a policeman has been arrested by authorities in Qatif, the interior ministry announced on Friday.
Mohsen Ibrahim Mosabah was apprehended by security services in a Qatif village. The suspect, who is Saudi, is believed to be involved in a shooting which martyred Faisal bin Awad Al-Harbi, a policeman during a patrol in Seihat city in June.
Mosabah was arrested after security agents raided a house in Umm Al-Hamam.
The interior ministry say Mosabah was also wanted for a number of other crimes, including shooting at police and civilians as well as the abduction and rape of a schoolgirl and arson.
The suspect was arrested on Thursday along with another two people who are now under investigation.
The ministry of interior pledged to “fiercely fight such criminals” and warned people not to aid them in any way.
