RIYADH: Princess Nora University officials have said that the number of non-Saudi women accepted at the university stands at 3 percent.
However, the university said that it is complying with the acceptance policy in accordance with the Education Ministry’s unified electronic admission system.
The university started receiving applications last Sunday in order to allow enough time for processing applications in special cases. Girls of families benefiting from the Social Security, with secondary school certificates, whose fathers were martyred and/or injured enjoy special criteria for acceptance.
More than 9,000 young women visited the university's conference center in the last two days.
Despite the many inquiries, the university managed to deal with all cases and will continue to receive all those who want to rectify the acceptance decision as per the conditions.
The university said it complies with the Council of Ministers’ decision to limit the number of non-Saudis accepted to university to 5 percent, and said that so far it has accepted only 3 percent foreigners.
