BAHA: On Friday, the Baha tourist bus began its first trip to transport tourists and locals to 21 historical and heritage locations over the span of 40 days.
Head of the Tourist Commission Zaher Alshahri said the bus will travel on four different routes from Baha City, the Governorate Village, Bani Hassan, Almundaq and Belajarashi and will go through 21 tourist locations. He added that the Activity Committee has stationed a number of guides at these sites to explain the history of Al-Baha. There will also be an “electronic observer” to maintain timing and check the traffic, as well as three outdoor screens full of relevant data for each of the routes.
The two-story tour bus is air-conditioned on the bottom level, while the top deck of the bus is open with a movable ceiling. There is also a host to receive passengers, sell tickets and answer enquiries. Alshahri said the bus was launched Friday from the Raghdan Forest, from which it entered the Entertainment City, the Family Productivity Market, the downtown area, and the Alumda Museum, and then came back to the start.
The second route runs from the Governorate Village starting from Raghdan Forest, and then going to Ibn Roqoush Palace, the National Resources Park, Alatawklah Heritage Village before returning to the start.
