142 streets opened

JEDDAH: At least 142 streets have been opened out of some 154 streets that were wholly or partly closed due to obstructions.
The committee in charge of controlling and clearing streets in Jeddah has kept 11 streets closed for security reasons, a local publication reported.
Sultan Al-Dosari, spokesman of the Makkah Governorate, said the committee consisting of representatives of the governorate, the secretariat, the police and the road and transport management departments opened many streets.
He said the issues of closed roads were referred to the competent sub-municipalities and will all been dealt with in due time.
Al-Dosari said the committee monitored 63 roads that were closed for traffic purposes.
