HADAF helps women train in cell repair jobs

RIYADH: The Labor Ministry has started training Saudi women to repair and maintain mobile phones, according to sources close to the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC).
This is part of the ministry’s plan to Saudize the sector completely this year. There was a training program held for 300 Saudi women to maintain and repair phones, with the support of the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF). They also received training on sales and customer services.
The trainers included specialists, with most holding master’s in business administration degrees. Women interested can apply through https://ctc.tvtc.gov.sa. They should not be employed and be over 18 years of age.
With the ambitious plan to Saudize the sector by Sept. 2, the TVTC had announced earlier this year it would be offering a free training program for 44,000 Saudis in the industry.
In a media statement, the TVTC said it would work with the Human Resources Development Fund to provide the training at over 100 colleges and technical institutes in the Kingdom.
