Saudi Arabia, Jordan slam Iran’s interference

AMMAN: Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and King Abdallah of Jordan discussed international and regional issues and also condemned Iran’s policy of interference on Monday.
Earlier, the deputy crown prince was received by King Abdallah at the King Al-Hussein airport in Aqaba.
The two leaders agreed to enhance cooperation in areas of defense, energy, uranium exploration and trade among other things.
According to a joint communique issued following the meeting, the two sides warned Iran against its current approach that deepens disputes and conflicts in the region and undermines its stability.
They also condemned terrorist acts, which have recently targeted a number of countries, and stressed the need to join international efforts in the fight against terror through the international and military alliances.

They expressed importance of political consultation between the two countries on regional issues, emphasized the adoption of political solution toward these issues, preservation of territorial integrity, sovereignty and stability of the regional countries and rejection of interference in their internal affairs,” the statement said.
The two sides agreed to boost trade ties by opening more opportunities for Jordanian exports in the Saudi markets, and enhance the role of businessmen in trade and business competition between the two countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Jordanian king asked the deputy crown prince to convey his greetings to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Mohammed bin Naif.
