Shaza Al-Madina launches Saudi talent development program

Shaza Al-Madina claims that it is the first hotel company in the Kingdom to launch a Saudi talent development program in the luxury hospitality sector. The program named Shaza Kifah launched in Madinah is supported by the Saudi Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) and Madina College of Tourism.
Shaza Kifah was unveiled by Majid bin Mousa Al-Onezy, dean of Madina College of Tourism together with Adil Abulaah Shafee, GM of HRDF, and Brahim Robbio, GM of Shaza Al-Madina.
Shaza Kifah is described as a handcrafted training program designed specially to generate Saudi talents. The program takes a year to complete and will be open for up to 30 local Saudi talents a year. It will offer them an insight into the hospitality industry and give them the opportunity to travel to other Shaza Hotels around the world.
For Shaza Kifah, Shaza Al-Madina is working closely with the College of Tourism, which is a government institute, under the umbrella of Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC). The college will offer Shaza Kifah participants certification at the end of the program and provide motivation, guidance and training to the talents throughout the training period.
Shaza Kifah, has also been supported by the HRDF, which works under the Ministry of Labor. Its aim is to support and encourage private companies to provide job opportunities for talented local Saudis.
The HRDF will therefore support Shaza Kifah by providing an interest assessment tool for candidates to go through, creating a pool of candidates for the program to be interviewed by the hotel and assigning a team to supervise the program and the candidates throughout the training period.
The launch event was also attended by Salih Abbas, GM of Saudi Commission of Tourism & National Heritage.
