US will keep looking to hit Daesh targets in Libya

RANCHO MIRAGE, California: President Barack Obama says the US will continue attacking the Daesh group in Libya as targets are identified.
Obama is speaking at a news conference in California. He says the US will go after Daesh “wherever it appears.”
Obama is pointing to a raid the US carried out last year that killed a top Daesh leader in Libya. He said Washington will take action when it has a clear target in mind.
Obama also said he is working with other countries to identify opportunities to thwart militants in Libya. Obama said Libya could be successful if it had a functioning government. He said there are plenty of groups in Libya that disagree with Daesh and said establishing a government is a key step to resolving the conflict.
