Five dead, seven injured in two accidents in Hafr Al-Batin

HAFR AL-BATIN: Four people have died, including one woman, while six have been injured as a result of a traffic accident that occurred on Wednesday on Hafr Al-Batin–Kuwait road in Hafr Al-Batin province.
The official spokesman for the Saudi Red Crescent in the Eastern Province said that while the ambulatory teams of the Saudi Red Crescent were on their way to handle another traffic accident on Hafr Al-Batin–Kuwait road, they were surprised to find another accident about 35 kilometers away from the first one with both deaths and severe injuries involved.
“The teams informed the operation room in Hafr Al-Batin and asked for support. Another four ambulatory teams with one additional advanced team moved to the scene of the accidents and were supported by two teams from the Ministry of Health to handle the situation,” said the spokesman.
He said that the accident resulted in the death of four persons at the scene of the accident, in addition to the injury of another six who were moved to King Khalid Hospital and the Central Hospital in Hafr Al-Batin.
Hafr Al-Batin witnessed another traffic accident on that day resulting in the death of one Asian and the injury to one Saudi citizen.
The official spokesman for the Saudi Red Crescent in the Eastern Province, Fahd Al-Ghamdi, said the operation room received a call about the accident around eight o’clock in the morning regarding a collision in Hafr Al-Batin on King Faisal Road. “Immediately, the ambulatory teams along with one advanced response team moved to the scene of the accident and found a Saudi citizen injured and an Asian national dead. The injured person was moved to King Khalid Hospital,” he said.
