King Salman commends athletes for achievements

RIYADH: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman on Wednesday praised Saudi athletes for their achievements at the second Gulf Cooperation Council Sport Games held earlier this year in Dammam.
King Salman made the comments during a meeting at Al-Yamamah palace with the athletes. Among those who attended were Prince Abdullah bin Musaed, president of Youth Welfare and the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee.
Prince Abdullah thanked the king for meeting with the athletes and highlighted the accomplishments of the Saudi sport teams in Dammam. He also thanked the government for its continued support of the country’s youth and athletes.
Those in attendance included Prince Nawaf bin Mohammed bin Abdullah, president of Saudi Arabian Athletics Federation; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Jelawi, president of the Camel Races Committee; and Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd bin Abdullah, president of the Saudi Arabian Swimming Federation.
Others included Prince Mohammed bin Sultan bin Saud bin Abdulaziz; Prince Abdullah bin Fahd bin Abdullah, president of the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation; Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Musaed bin Abdulaziz, director of international relations at the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee; and Minister of Culture and Information Adel Al-Toraifi.
