MOSCOW: The technical sub-committee, an affiliate of the Saudi-Russian Joint Committee, started an expert-level meeting in preparation for the 4th session of the bilateral committee, which is set to kick off in Moscow, SPA reports.
Following today's meeting, the Directorate General of Agreements and International Cooperation Department at the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) said the Saudi and Russian sides have reviewed the agenda.
The agenda focuses on the importance of working closely with coordination to enhance the current relations and foster their long-term partnership to explore potentials existing in the economic, commercial and cultural fields, and take their joint relations to new horizons.
During the meeting, specialized task teams were formed to discuss the committee's agenda and draft the final communique for the current session.
The Saudi side in the Moscow meeting, which will be held from Nov. 24 to 26, will include representatives of economic, industrial, cultural, scientific and technological agencies.
The committee is holding its 4th session amid increasing interest of the business sectors in the two countries to create new investment and commercial partnerships and expand their cooperation through exchange of high-level visits.
The latest of such visits was between Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit in Antalya, Turkey.
An economic forum to discuss the scope of investment between the two countries will also be held on the sidelines of the Moscow meeting.
Following the Moscow meeting, the two sides will sign a joint communiqué reflecting their cooperation in the commercial, economical, scientific, technical fields.
