Kingdom donates SR50m for Yemeni refugees in Djibouti

RIYADH: The Kingdom has donated another SR50 million for humanitarian aid to Yemeni refugees and constructed 300 housing units for Yemeni refugees in Djibouti.

Speaking to the press during his visit to the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Work on Tuesday, Yemeni Vice President Khalid Bahah said the Saudi government is doing its best to look after the Yemeni refugees in Yemen.
In May, the Riyadh-based King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Work and UNICEF signed a memorandum of understanding here today to relieve Yemeni refugees in Djibouti.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, supervisor general of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Work, and Ibrahim Al-Zeeg, UNICEF representative, co-signed for the two parties.
In remarks following the signing ceremony, which was attended by Djibouti’s ambassador and a number of dignitaries in charge of humanitarian relief delivery to the world’s needy children, the center’s spokesman Raafat Al-Sabbagh urged all world benevolent organizations and charities to cooperate with the King Salman Relief Center to provide relief for needy Yemenis elsewhere.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Al-Rabeeah said that Saudi Arabia is duty bound to help the Yemeni brothers since the two countries have enjoyed age-long relations.
He said that the center is keen on rehabilitation work for the Yemeni refugees, and medical and educational facilities will be provided to them to make their living comfortable in their host country.
