Growing Saudi-Indian relations discussed

JEDDAH: Qassim Gov. Prince Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud held talks with Indian diplomats on strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.
“The foundation of Saudi-Indian ties is very strong,” said Indian Charge d’Affaires Hemant Kotalwar during the talks in Qassim on Tuesday. “The governor appreciated the gradual strengthening of ties between the two countries.”
Prince Faisal recalled the visit of his father, the late King Saud, to India in 1955. Kotalwar, accompanied by Consul for Political Affairs Hifzur Rahman, later visited the Qassim Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where he met Ali bin Saleh bin Al-Jubali, assistant secretary-general for executive affairs, and several Saudi businessmen.
The two sides discussed various ways to promote bilateral trade and commercial engagements. It was decided that the Indian Embassy would organize a business meeting soon at the Qassim chamber.
