Investments sought for natural resorts in Jazan

DAMMAM: The glistening sea, unique islands, majestic mountains and vast plains make Jazan a diverse and memorable place to visit. Additionally, its forests, lakes, and waterfalls offer picturesque places for visitors to relax and enjoy nature. On the road linking the provinces of Raith and Bani Malik in the Jazan region, there are quiet and natural resorts away from the hustle and bustle of life, including near the Raith, Hashr and Faifa mountains.
These attractive destinations are characterized by lowlands and highlands, forests and rocks, waterfalls and valleys, and are places where rain falls almost continuously, especially in the summer. When all the cities in the Kingdom suffer from hot weather, the temperature in these places do not exceed 30 degrees Celsius throughout the summer months.
Moreover, Jazan's beaches are famous for their fascinating sand dunes and scenic natural environment. They are also very well suited to swimming, and for seeing many kinds of birds and marine creatures in their natural habitats.
It should be noted, however, that there is a reluctance among investors to establish quiet rural resorts and tourism projects there. In light of this, the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTNH) should invest resources to increase tourism potentials in these areas, and to further strengthen the Kingdom’s archaeological and cultural riches.
