Saudi Post ‘ready to deliver iqamas’

RIYADH: Saudi Post has made all preparations for speedy and accurate delivery of residency permits (iqama) and other documents issued by the Passport Department.
The Interior Ministry had earlier directed that such documents should be delivered to government and private companies through post from from Oct. 14, or the start of the new Islamic year.
Deputy Chairman of Saudi Post Sami Al-Aridi was quoted by local media as saying on Thursday that the postal department was fully prepared for the new responsibility. He also hailed the ministry for its confidence in the services of the postal department.
“Saudi Post has delivered around 200,000 official documents with a 100 percent success rate in terms of timings and other services,” he said.
The postal services are available to all companies and government agencies through national addresses, which can be registered on the official website of Saudi Post www.sp.com.sa or by visiting its offices that are spread across the country.
