AMMAN: Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held talks with Jordan’s King Abdallah in Amman on Tuesday.
Talks with King Abdallah aimed at tackling cooperation between the two countries and the latest developments in the Middle East, according to Jordan’s news agency.
Prince Mohammed was scheduled to hold talks with a number of Jordanian political and military leaders.
He was accompanied by Social Affairs Minister Majed Al-Qassabi, Culture and Information Minister Adel bin Zaid Al-Toraifi and a number of officials, SPA reported.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman reiterated the importance of joint Arab and Islamic efforts to fight terrorism and extremist groups when he held talks with the Jordanian king in Riyadh early this year.
During an official visit by King Abdallah to Riyadh, both leaders stressed the importance of countering ideologies and practices that distort the true image of Islam and its values of tolerance and compassion.
The Jordanian leader also expressed appreciation of Saudi Arabia’s support to Jordan at various levels, earlier reports said.
