JUBAIL: Jubail beaches are expected to receive many tourists during September as a large number of people usually head to the city once the summer gets cooler to enjoy their holiday here.
As part of the beach preparations for this season, the Social Services Department of the Royal Commission for Jubail (RCJ) has equipped all Jubail beaches with eighteen lifeguards at allocated positions along the shore, as well as marine tanks that roam the beaches to avoid any drowning cases.
These new young rescuers have joined numerous training courses, including swimming and first aid, in preparation for their work on Jubail beaches to control hikers and tourists.
In a related development, Saleh Al-Mutairi, director of the RCJ Forestation and Irrigation Department said, “The department has recently allocated a special area at the Al-Fanateer waterfront in Jubail Industrial City for children with special needs, which includes various games and special calisthenics devices designed to develop the children’s skills and strengthen their bodies properly.”
“This area is also equipped with guiding boards, glider umbrellas, rubber floors and borders to support and protect children while playing,” he said.
“This initiative is part of the Royal Commission for Jubail’s continuous efforts to help this special group of people through adequate social responsibility measures,” Al-Mutairi said.
Jubail beaches are distinguished with their vast green spaces, various children’s games, toilets, mosques, cafes and restaurants overlooking the Arabian Gulf. All of the beaches and parks are equipped with patrols to reduce the phenomenon of littering waste and to monitor any irregularities.
