GACA chief visits ICAO in Montreal

Sulaiman Al-Hamdan, president of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), and Deputy President for International Cooperation Prince Turki bin Faisal Al-Saud, were on top of a delegation that visited the International Civil Aviation Organization in Montreal, Canada.
This was the first visit ever by a GACA president to the organization, it was reported on Sunday.
During the visit, the president met with the Kingdom’s permanent delegation to ICAO and reviewed the activities and operations of the delegation and its future plans.
The visiting delegation also met with the ICAO Secretary General Raymond Benjamin and discussed cooperation agreements on security and safety, as well as training opportunities for GACA’s staff.
Hamdan also met with ICAO Chairman Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu and discussed ways to enhance cooperation in various fields in ways that would bolster the civil aviation industry in the Kingdom and the region at large.
Addressing ICAO's members and representatives, Hamdan highlighted the Kingdom’s achievements in the civil aviation sector, and outlined the various projects that had been achieved over the past five years.
