Exhibition to showcase modern furniture, interior designs

The 23rd edition of Saudi International Exhibition for Furniture and Interior Design will be held from April 29 to May 5.
"The event showcases modern and exclusive products offered for the first time by international companies before bringing them to the local market. It aims to survey the visitors’ opinions on the products, and attract local investors," said Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Hussaini, CEO of Dhahran International Exhibitions Company, which is hosting the show at its headquarters on Dammam-Alkhobar coastal road.
He said: "Furniture and decoration companies are participating in the exhibition, which is one of the most specialized events awaited by many investors and consumers."
He pointed out that the furniture sector has great future as the Kingdom is witnessing growth in residential construction, which offers the furniture and interior design industry immense scope for business, and changes the commercialization level by 60 percent, which is likely to increase in the coming years.
Furniture galleries often experience competition among exhibitors who seek to increase their marketing share; the market is estimated at SR 5.5 billion on yearly basis.
