MCI launches online service to attest documents

In coordination with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI), an online legal document authentication system was launched on Tuesday to make document verification incredibly simple.
An official from the MCI said the new service is part of the government’s program which is currently being undertaken to increase governmental efficiency.
The official explained that until now, people have to come to the MCI personally to perfect their business contract documents and also for registration of new companies.
“The new system will ease such tasks by saving the time taken to visit office in order to get their documents attested,” he said.
The relevant forms for attestation are available in the ministry’s website: http://mci.gov.sa.
Upon completion of the processing of the application for such an online requests, the ministry will typically respond to the applications with the attested documents signed by a notary or an attorney from the ministry of justice, which will be valid for all purposes.
