A Saudi scholarship student who went missing in Texas in the United States on March 28 has still not been found.
Friends and fellow students have been searching in vain for Mohammed Al-Ghannam. They have posted pictures of him on social networking sites. Al-Ghannam lived in the city of San Antonio. Texas is the second-largest state in the US.
Ghada Ghanim Al-Ghoneim, director general of the group Saudis in America, posted several tweets praying for his safe return. According to one tweet, she said the group cannot publish details about the case without first getting permission from Ghannam’s family.
“Efforts are ongoing to obtain any information that can help in finding Mohammed Al-Ghannam,” said Ahmed Suleiman Al-Sufran, founder of Road to a Successful Scholarship and volunteer with the Saudi cultural mission in the US.
“There has been communication with several parties who promised to find more information about Al-Ghannam.” He said other volunteers are assisting on the case. He did not know the student’s age or what he was studying.
