A senior member of the Shoura Council has told the Albanian Parliament that the ongoing Decisive Storm operation led by the Kingdom was solely undertaken to maintain peace and security in the region.
Shoura Council member Zuhair Al-Harthy made this statement during his talks with the president of the Albanian Parliament, Ilir Meta, in Tirana.
Saudi Ambassador in Tirana Talat Radwan,was present during the meeting. Other members of the Saudi delegation were Saeed Sheikh, Abdullah Al-Asker, Abdullah Al- Muneef, Nihad Jishi, Abdullah Al-Ghamdi and Hani Khashoggi. With seven member's in total, this Shoura delegation headed by Al-Harthy is currently in Albania to strengthen parliamentary relations with the country.
Speaking on the nature of the talks, Al-Harthy explained that the coalition initiative was launched in response to a request made by Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi to restore legitimate rule in his country.
Al-Harthy said that the visit comes within the framework of the promotion and strengthening of relations between the Shoura Council and the Albanian Parliament in the development of bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Albania. This aims to achieve the goals and aspirations of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, who wishes to strengthen relations with brotherly and friendly countries.
