UN resolution aims to rap Houthi aggression

NEW YORK: Jordan has circulated a UN resolution aimed at ending the conflict in Yemen.
A UN diplomat said on Tuesday the draft Security Council resolution would condemn aggression by the Houthis, who are trying to take over the country, and impose an arms embargo on targeted individuals.
The draft also calls for a political solution to the conflict and urges delivery of desperately needed humanitarian aid, said the diplomat.
Gulf countries previously proposed a draft imposing an arms embargo on the Houthis.
