The Ministry of Social Affairs is moving toward field work to develop its information system by offering electronic services to subscribers, and for establishing an information center for beneficiaries of social security, social welfare and social development agencies.
The ministry is moving toward forging strategic partnerships in information technology and data creation by exchanging information between 14 ministries and government bodies, including the Ministries of Interior, Border Guard, Defense, Labor, Finance, Health, Justice, Commerce and Industry and Zakat and Income Tax, in addition to the Public Pension Agency, the General Organization for Social Insurance and the Human Resource Development Fund.
This was revealed by Social Affairs Minister Majed Al-Qassabi on the sidelines of a workshop for cooperative societies titled, “Strategic Challenges and Priorities.”
The minister talked about the ministry’s strategic directions highlighting that strategic partnerships in the field of information is the next phase of the strategic direction, especially with the electronic documentation program (Yesser). This program offers technical consultation and exchange of information between government bodies. The program aims to define those who are eligible to receive social welfare support, in addition to continuously updating beneficiaries’ data.
