A Saudi student and her three children were killed in a road accident in the state of Illinois in the United States on Tuesday.
Relatives expressed condolences on social media sites to Saleh Al-Buraidi for the death of his wife Rehab Al-Shabarmi, two daughters and a son. The Saudi Embassy in Washington has started legal procedures to transport the bodies home, a local publication reported. Al-Shabarmi was studying in the US on a Saudi government scholarship.
Scholarship student killed
Meanwhile, Talal Al-Johani, 19, a Saudi scholarship student studying in Chicago, was allegedly stabbed to death on Sunday at 4 a.m. by a relative, who was also studying in the city, but at his own expense.
The suspect, who was staying with Al-Johani, had arrived in the US recently. He is at large and the police are searching for him.
According to sources, the dispute between the two arose after the visit of a man selling marijuana. A fistfight ensued, but the suspect allegedly took a knife and stabbed Al-Johani in the belly. Cook County police are investigating.
