BOSTON: Southern New England is seeing limited snowfall but weather is expected to worsen as the day wears on.
The storm is expected to last through early Tuesday morning and bring 1 to 4 inches on Cape Cod and has much as 1.5 to 2 feet in eastern and northeastern Massachusetts, including greater Boston.
The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency says there will be periods of relatively light snow Sunday.
Snow will become heavier and steadier Sunday night into Monday and perhaps into early Tuesday morning. The agency warns that travel conditions may be difficult with impacts to both commutes on Monday and the morning commute on Tuesday.
Boston Mayor Marty Walsh will give a Sunday afternoon update on the city’s response to the latest significant storm to hit the region.
