Fahd Al-Rasheed, group CEO and managing director of King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), was presented with the Trailblazer of the Year Award at the Asian Business Leadership Forum (ABLF) in Dubai.
It was held with the support of Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al-Nahayan, minister of culture, youth and community development, UAE.
The ABLF brought together prominent leaders, policy-makers, academia, media and opinion leaders of core industries from across the Middle East and Asia to discuss progress, developments and trends across a wide range of sectors under the theme “Asia Rising: Sustainable Leadership and Development in the 21st Century.”
The ABLF Awards are a highlight of the event and are presented for nine categories, in which the Trailblazer of the Year Award is given for the most impressive individual who had secured a leading position at the vanguard of the world of business achievers with an unprecedented record of powerful, original and innovative business strategies.
Some of the other notable ABLF Award winners this year were Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak “Umm Al Emarat”, Reem Al-Hashmy, UAE minister of trade in the cabinet, Abdul Aziz Al-Ghurair, CEO and director, Mashreq Bank and R. Seetharaman, group CEO of Doha Bank.
The ABLF awards were presented by H.E Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy.
The selection criteria for the Trailblazer Award also require that the winner embodies immense talent and has achieved a meteoric rise that is a testament to quality and excellence.
The winner is also recognized for sparking a trend with a successful business model that has been an inspiration for others to follow.
