Al-Jammom project to provide low-budget housing for citizens

The Housing Ministry has announced a new housing project in Al-Jammom with the aim to provide low-budget housing for Saudi nationals in the area.
The project covering an area of 700,000 sq. meters is targeted at low income groups of nationals living in and around Al-ammom and will also accommodate future generations.
Mohammed Alzimaia, spokesman of Housing Ministry, said work has already started on the housing units and the development of a new town in Al-Jammom is expected to be completed soon.
The Housing Ministry’s goals are to provide low-budget homes to needy Saudi families, provide support to eligible families in areas of health, social, finance and housing, housing projects to support future generations, establish different types of housing support according to the requirements of different families.
A study conducted by the ministry revealed that the Kingdom will need three million housing units annually to cater to the rising demand prompted by the increasing population.
The government’s efforts to build 500,000 low-cost houses throughout the Kingdom at a cost of SR250 billion will also help reduce the prices of rental apartments and real estate. Additionally, the development of land for real estate will have a positive impact on the market, it was said.
