EP plans to create 10,000 jobs for Saudis

The Eastern Province's business and government leaders plan to create 10,000 jobs for Saudis in the region by holding an event linking firms and job seekers.
The Wadaef Jobs Fair is being held under the auspices of Eastern Province Gov. Prince Saud bin Naif, in collaboration with the Asharqia Chamber. It will run until Oct. 30.
Abdulrahman Al-Otaishan, chairman of the chamber, said that qualified people are needed to boost the national economy and expand businesses.
“Job fairs are an important way for business owners to recruit qualified locals. The fair aims to allow business owners and human resources officials to meet with recent graduates and job seekers and select the best candidates.”
“Around 100 private sector firms participating at the fair will offer 10,000 jobs,” he said.
He said the fair was an opportunity for job seekers and recent graduates to compete for employment at companies. It will also provide job seekers with a chance to choose careers that meet their ambitions and capabilities.
