Riyadh Gov. Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz has assured members of the Qatif community in the Eastern Province that the government treats all its citizens equally.
At a meeting with citizens at his office in Al-Hakam Palace, Prince Turki said that Qatif is like other parts of the Kingdom.
The delegation was led by Sheikh Mansour bin Hussein Al-Abbas, and included Hassan bin Alawi Al-Sayed Ali, a young boy. The attendees congratulated the prince on his appointment as governor of Riyadh.
The delegation prepared a speech, which was read out at the meeting.
“On this occasion, we announce our allegiance to our beloved king and government ... we condemn and will fight all forms of extremism and terrorism ...”
The delegation also thanked the government for working to ensure that there was security for citizens in the country.
The boy expressed his affection for the prince. “Your royal highness, I loved you before I met you. My parents instilled in me love for the royal family. I am proud to be a Saudi. May God keep you, son of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques,” he said.
Ali said that the people of Qatif were loyal to the royal family led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and the Crown Prince Salman. Prince Turki thanked the delegation for its good wishes.
