Ras Al-Khair seawater cooling system deal signed

Prince Saud bin Abdullah Al-Thunayan, chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, has signed a contract for the supply and implementation of the seawater cooling system that is planned to be constructed in Ras Al-Khair industrial city and will cost a total SR540 million.
The Petroleum, Chemicals and Mining Company (PCMC) will handle the construction of parallel supply lines; some are for backup for the surplus, and the implementation of a single pipeline for the retrieving.
PCMC will implement all the work of the first phase of constructing of supply and retrieve network connected to seawater cooling system in Ras Al-Khair industrial city with the capacity of 75,000 cubic meters per
hour.
The network has the ability to convert the cooling water to rain water drainage system special to industrial in case of an emergency as well as the establishment of seven buildings for electrical equipment.
The signing of the RCJY of this contract comes within the framework of the overall management that it takes on the cities belonging to it.
The Royal Commission’s cities are unique for the presence of the largest seawater cooling networks to cool the factories in the world that consists of open concrete channels similar to artificial rivers that were designed to prevent any collision between the water coming from the sea and the water going to the
sea.
