KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait’s state oil group said it signed a five-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply deal with BP, worth an estimated $3 billion, the Gulf state’s second energy import deal this week.
Kuwait Petroleum Corp. (KPC) signed a $12 billion LNG supply deal with Royal Dutch Shell on Sunday.
Kuwait expects to import a total of around 2.5 million tons of LNG per year over the next few years through such contracts, said Nasser Al-Mudaf, head of KPC’s international marketing division.
