An Asian worker in Jubail committed suicide on Saturday by jumping from the third floor of a residential apartment in the city, said Col. Ziad Al-Ruqaiti, spokesman for the Eastern Province police.
He said the 40-year-old man suffered from psychological problems.
“This is the second time the man had tried to commit suicide. He had previously tried to stab himself and his case had been referred to the investigation department,” Al-Ruqaiti said.
A Saudi man in Domat Al-Jandal also committed suicide late Saturday night.
Turki Al-Muwaisher, spokesman for the Al-Jouf police, said the man had hung himself in his flat.
“The man’s body was found by one of his relatives,” the spokesman said.
A Saudi man in Bahra near Jeddah, meanwhile, was arrested after killing his 85-year-old father on Sunday. “Police arrested the killer on the spot after receiving information about the crime,” said Lt. Col. Aati Al-Qurashi, spokesman for Makkah police.
