International Indian School Jeddah lifts Al-Abeer Cup

JEDDAH: International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ) lifted the Al Abeer Soccer Cup when they edged past Indonesian International School 4-3 via the tie-breaker in the final of the Inter-School football tournament, organized by the Saudi Indian Football Forum (SIFF) at the Education Ministry Stadium, Faisaliyah District, here
Both team were locked goalless during stipulated time. Jameel, Nabeel, Nihal and Ahmed scored for the IISJ while Rami, Ziad and Ifangga made no mistake for the Indonesian school. The Indonesians dominated proceedings during regular time but failed to convert their territorial advantage into goals.
Indian School goalkeeper Umar Mohammed Saleem played a key in his team’s victory as he gave a standout performance was rightly adjudged man of the match.
IJSJ Managing Committee Chairman, Dr. Haroon Rasheed was the chief guest.
