Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, deputy governor of Riyadh Region, has honored Mobily for supporting the Saudi Association For Hearing Impairment. This took place during the celebration held at King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh.
Akil Al-Akil, senior EVP, regulatory affairs, received the honorary shield on behalf of Mobily.
Akil said: “The support extended by Mobily to many charity organizations in the Kingdom, including the Saudi Association for Hearing Impairment comes from our belief of the importance of supporting this category of our society that needs the opportunity to communicate with different segments of society, and enable them to contribute to the development of this country along with the their brothers in this community.”
Akil stressed that Mobily is honored to harness all its resources and technical capabilities through the provision of services that will enable them to communicate and get their work done from anywhere.
Mobily had provided earlier a donation in favor of the Saudi Association for Hearing Impairment during the reception of Hammoud Al-Ghobaini, executive GM, Corporate Communications and PR, Chairman of the Saudi Association For Hearing Impairment Ali bin Rashid Al-Hazzani and a number of his officials at the headquarters of the company in Riyadh.
Mobily teamed up with the Saudi Association for Hearing Impairment by supporting the association activities and programs in training and rehabilitation of deaf men and women through rehabilitation courses in computer, Arabic and English, besides other courses in sign language and training on hearing.
Mobily also sponsored “a sense of the artist” program which is focusing on strengthening the skills of the individuals with special needs of the deaf, organized by the association earlier.
