A criminal court in Riyadh on Tuesday sentenced a Saudi militant for 18 years in jail for allegedly issuing fatwas against the government and helping people to reach war zones to take part in battles, SPA said.
He is also accused of forging travel documents and receiving training on using various weapons and explosives.
He was also aware of the plans by Al-Qaeda militants to carry out terrorist attacks across the Kingdom.
He had also given shelter to two wanted militants who had run away from the Malaz Prison.
The court said the defendant would be banned from traveling abroad for 18 years.
