KSA demands urgent Syria session at UN

Saudi Arabia has called for an emergency meeting of the UN General Assembly to discuss the Syrian crisis, Al-Arabiya channel reported on Sunday quoting the Kingdom’s permanent mission at the UN.
The mission has sent a message to John Ashe, current president of the general assembly, saying such a meeting was essential to discuss distribution of humanitarian aid among refugees and displaced people and human rights situation inside Syria.
The channel said Ashe would reply to the Kingdom’s request after consulting other countries. Saudi Arabia wanted the meeting to discuss reports from UN officials in charge of relief supplies, human rights and refugees to highlight the worsening situation of people in the war-torn country.
