Mr. Foodstuff of Manuel Cabansag defeated Sadia 72-71 in the JBL Basketbalal Tournament at Bin Mahfouz court here.
Both teams played excellent offense as the lead kept changing sides in the whole game. Sadia almost took the game but missed an important free throw to tie the game. Bajas scored 14 points for Mr. Foodstuff and was adjudged as the Giordano best player of the game while De Castro, Dayrit and Cruz each had 13 points for Sadia.

SGS NCS Quick Pay of Conrad Baltazar beat Al Muhaidib 82-74 for its third straight win. Mark Abulencia again carried the offensive load for SGS NCB Quick Pay and top-scored with 24 points and was adjudged as the Arab News best player of the game while Gary Padernal chipped in 18 points for Al Muhaidib.

Lahing Pinoy of Francis Gallego defeated Danya Foods 77-74. Danya Foods managed to dictate the tempo of the game up to crucial last 2 minutes but Lahing Pinoy played pressure defense against the ball handlers of Danya to wrest the lead. Dela Vega scored 23 points for Lahing Pinoy and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Garcia had 32 for Danya Foods.

Friday, GIG of Ernie Cabawatan beat Pinoy Jeddah Group 70-63. GIG’s tough defense gave the team its second win in the group B division. Chris Baniel contributed 29 points for GIG Jeddah and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Modejar led Pinoy Jeddah Group with 12 points.

Fuchs One Stop Shop of Jovy Abella defeated Barangay Fame 83-69. Fuchs One Stop Service went to the open man for a higher percentage. Fuchs displayed toughness as Barangay Fame continued to harass its ball handlers. Bedison scored 20 points for Fuchs and was adjudged as the Saudi Sign best player of the game while Garcia top-scored with 34 points for Barangay Fame.

Mamoud Gharib of Simlor Crisostomo beat Al Ettifaq 95-66. Mahmoud Gharib outscored Al Ettifaq in the final quarter and Al Ettifaq tried hard to contain the enemy defense but then lost t steam. William Boyce top-scored with 19 points for Mahmoud Gharib and was adjudged as the Giordano best player of the game while Espayos had 12 points for Al Ettifaq.

TRCIJ of Arwin Ochavillo defeated Al Mostaqbal 82-70. TRCIJ started to have teamwork and displayed good offense in the whole game. Al Mostaqbal had an off night and could not find its shooting touch. Manalo had 27 points for TRCIJ and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Bertolano had 18 points at the helm of Mostaqbal.
