PISJ girls celebrate Annual Sports Day

Female students in grades five to 12 at the Pakistan International School in Jeddah celebrated Annual Sports Day.
Athletes in the four houses, named Khadijah, Aisha, Fatima and Mariam after leading female Islamic figures, competed in a colorful program that was attended by many participants.
Zaibunissa Bilal, the school principal’s consort and chief guest, expressed her appreciation for the hard work put in by students and teachers.
She conducted the flag-hoisting ritual in the company of Vice-Principal Farhat-un-Nisa.
Bilal congratulated students for their performance in calisthenics, gymnastics and races.
Retired teachers were the guests of honor at this year’s event.
Farhat-un-Nisa felicitated the sports committee’s house mistresses, teachers and students for their efforts, emphasizing that the school aspires to mold students in all spheres of life. She addressed students as the “torch bearers of excellence” and expressed pride in their achievements. She thanked the chief guest and other distinguished guests for gracing the event with their presence.








The trophy for overall performance was won by the Mariam house. The Khadijah house came second and the Fatima house came third.
Athletes of the year were: Misbah Shaukat in 10-C and Maryam Nazir in 12-D.
Prize were distributed to winners who came first, second or third place in various events.
