THE 7-seat Infiniti QX60 helped the company achieve a 17 percent hike in sales in the Middle East during 2013. Infiniti sold 5,624 units last year compared to 4,806 units sold in 2012.
QX60 became Infiniti’s fastest growing model in the line-up.
Infiniti QX80 with its combination of all terrain capability and luxury accommodation also gained a significant increase over 2012 with a rise of 9 percent.
QX70 retained its long-held title of Infiniti’s most popular model with over 1,500 units sold.
Infiniti anticipates strong performance in 2014 with the launch of the Q50 next Spring.
The vehicle, revealed at the Dubai Motor Show, gained favorable customers’ response.
Commenting on these results, Infiniti Regional Manager Juergen Schmitz said that a key element of the brand’s success is the introduction of new models and the popularity of the QX60 model.
He said: “The combination of high demand for both new and existing models, with the highly-anticipated Q50 to follow in spring this year, underscores that this is a new era for Infiniti.”
Infiniti also revealed a new concept at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit this year called Q50 Eau Rouge.
