Al-Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd. — established in 1981 and one of the largest food, dairy and juices firms in Saudi Arabia-MENA Region — recently opened its doors to students in Riyadh.
Through these visits, the company aims to enhance social bonding and cultural awareness, and also support school social activities. As many as 97 visits by groups comprising 2,976 students have since been recorded.
Al-Sharif Munther Terad Al-Harthy, CEO of Al-Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd., said: “These visits are within the social responsibility framework instituted by the company to inform students of the accomplishments taking place in the industry as a whole, and the success of Al-Rabie Saudi Foods not just as a corporate entity but as a socially responsible entity.”
The school visits come within the framework of the company’s continuous support to the social responsibility programs, he said, adding that the school visitation will continue during the second semester.
Al-Harthy pointed out that the visits seek to educate schoolchildren and visitors’ outlook, thereby encouraging them to seriously pursue scientific creativity and innovation, which is in line with the policies and thrusts of the government.
During their visit to the company, its factory managers briefed them about the production processes. The managers explained the working of the plant and also responded to queries from the students, and explained the functions of each department in the company.
Al-Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd is also one of the first companies in the Middle East that got certificates of ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental management and health issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), in addition to other awards that confirm their commitment to leadership and excellence in the region.
