Body of MERS victim to be flown to Dhaka

The body of the Bangladeshi doctor who died of the Middle East Coronavirus (MERS) in Riyadh on Wednesday will be flown to Dhaka by Monday, Bangladesh Embassy said on Thursday.
Dr. Mohammed Humayun Kabeer, 55, who was working as a house surgeon at Prince Salman Hospital, died following nine days of hospitalization.
According to sources from the Prince Salman Hospital, Kabeer was admitted to the facility for the common cold and was admitted to its Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for severe respiratory infection. He subsequently died of multi-organ failure due to the MERS virus, the sources added.
Hospital authorities gave the patient maximum care to save his life after he showed signs of the virus infection.
So far, a total of 142 cases have been affected by the virus in the Kingdom and this was the 58th fatality in the country due to corona virus.
