World support for Palestine sought

Saudi Arabia on Monday reiterated its support for the Palestinian cause, stressing that the peace process should help the Palestinians claim all their legitimate rights, including the establishment of an independent state.
The Council of Ministers, chaired by Crown Prince Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, made the comment on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Culture and Information Minister Abdul Aziz Khoja said the Cabinet urged the international community to continue its support for the Palestinian people in all their peaceful endeavors to gain their natural legitimate rights and take concrete steps to end the injustices being committed against them.
The Cabinet was briefed on a report drafted by the 129th session of the GCC foreign ministers meeting in Kuwait in preparation for the 34th GCC summit to be hosted by Kuwait. It also commended the decisions taken by a meeting of the GCC interior ministers in Bahrain to boost security cooperation among member states.
The Cabinet welcomed the recommendations issued by the World Conference on Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his Rights on Humanity organized by the Islamic University of Madinah. It sought an international resolution criminalizing abuse of the Prophet (pbuh) and the rest of the honored apostles and prophets and a world charter for respecting the prophets and apostles.
The Cabinet appointed Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Daham, deputy minister of economy and planning, as a member of the board of directors of Saudi Arabian Airlines.
The Cabinet decided to increase the Kingdom’s share in the capital of Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development by 119,955,050 Kuwaiti dinars, and to the capital of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa by $171,238,110.
The Cabinet approved an agreement with Uzbekistan on encouraging and reciprocal protection of investments.
The Cabinet appointed Azzam bin Mohammed Dakhil and Khaled bin Mohammed Khuwaiter as two members of the private sector in the board of directors of the Saline Water Conversion Corporation for a period of three years.
It appointed Abdul Rahman bin Yousef Al-Hamad as consultant civil engineer at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Saleh bin Ahmed Al-Ghamdi director of regional affairs at the Ministry of Interior, Dakhailallah bin Mahmoud Dakhailallah assistant undersecretary for security affairs at the Ministry of Interior, Mohammed bin Othman Althabit consultant of salaries and allowances at the Ministry of Civil Service and Suleiman bin Mohammed Albatli director general of the office of the president at the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.
