Two Saudi firms have won the 2013 International Star Award for Quality (ISAQ), based in Geneva, among premier companies from 54 countries for quality and excellence.
The Riyadh-based Nobel Smile Dental Care Clinic (NSDCC) received the ISAQ award in the gold category for commitment to quality, leadership, technology and innovation.
The other ISAQ winner was the King Fahd Industrial Port in Jubail, which is a gateway to 95 percent of commercial operations, excluding crude oil, and which manages 61 percent of the total cargo operations of GCC states.
“The NSDCC win represents success for Saudi Arabia in the business world,” Dr. Ahmed Shamiyadh, NSDCC’s medical director, told Arab News yesterday.
Shamiyadh received the award in Geneva last September.
He said that the ISAQ acknowledges the strong commitment to quality and excellence.
“The Saudi clinic has made quality a core focus for the continuous improvement of management to maintain leadership in its sector and community,” he said, quoting Jose Prieto, president and CEO of Business Initiatives Directions (BID).
Shamiyadh added: “Being a Saudi firm representing our country is a great honor and this reflects our commitment to leadership, technology and innovation, making us role models for others in the sector.”
Companies from Europe, America, Africa Asia, Oceania and the Middle East also received the award in recognition of their achievements and commitment to quality.
Established in 2008, the NSDCC has a team of dentists and nurses with American, British and international qualifications and training.
The NSDCC provide dental specialties services that include dental implants, crowns and bridges, geriatric dentistry, dentistry for children, cosmetic dentistry, sports-related dentistry, dental hygiene, laser dentistry, orthodontics and root canal treatment.
