Nadec Strokers, Sereno steal show in Almarai Sunday League

Nadec Strokers and Dawood Sereno took centerstage as the team and individual awardees during the 13th week in the Almarai-FBGR Sunday Bowling league 13th Conference at the Universal Bowling Center here.
Almarai Company is the sponsor of the tournament organized by the Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR).
Nadec Strokers mentored by Lope Ramirez found a way to beat the sponsor team Almarai Co. of Jun Daniel 24-14 to claim Best Team of the Week honors.
Ruben Babasa led the Nadec scoring with 869 followed by Atoi Ramos 850, Danny Nabong 842, Reynald Medina 841 and Jove Marano 794 points. Scorers for the losing team were Doy Del Moral 839, Paul Decena 797, Fhel Ramos 786, Jun Daniel 781 and Alex Armada 734 points.
In another encounter, Look Up Boys captained by Ronald Bautista edged Sweet Angel Vipers of Angel Caasi 21-18 in 2-2 match.
Erwin Nacario took charge by scoring 912, with Armin Isles on 859, Andro Tismo 847, Joe Garrido 751 and Adwin Atienza 706.
Despite the defeat Sweet Angel Vipers had a reason to celebrate when their bowler, Sereno, bagged the Best Bowler of the Week award after shooting the high series of 924. In addition to Sereno the others that scored for the Vipers were Fernie Ballano 773, Nelson Respicio 764, Ruel Pingol 735, Koko Torres 463 and Angel Caasi.
Alsalam Knights of Bandar Al-Marshad whipped IBG Storm of Ric Singson 24-13. The Knights had Alfred Valencia showing the way on 871. Efren Abuyo added 807, Rollie Cleofe 761, Al-Marshad 491, Douglas Vaugham 459, Mario Rivera 388 and Lito Vega 326. Singson led the losing team on 829 followed by Arnold Jesena 811, Rey Bautista 779, Marvin Arocena 758 and Thong Asuncion 634.
In another match, ProShop mentored by Ric Urrutia smashed fancied Team Irene of Dong Yamco 21-15. Ruby Urrutia bowled big for Pro Shop with 906. Ed Cruz had 807, Freddie Santiago 806, Butch Mateo 766 and Vic Barrazona 717 points. For Team Irene, KC Enriquez came through with 873. Vicky Vitug contributed 837, Shawn Ricketts 799, Yamco 796 and Irene Pua 756.
Elsewhere, Carry Over of Lulu Quejada beat United Global of Jeff Nierva 23-14, RG512 for Clothes captained by Yasser Mohammed edged Alinma Bank of Abdulrahman Ahmed 18-16 and FBGR Selection of Mike Ecalnir crushed Team Thales of Ryan Iñigo 23-9.
